Some of Oklahoma’s largest school districts are fighting back against a new mandate from Oklahoma education head Ryan Walters. Walters says Oklahoma teachers must teach from the Bible and that every teacher in Oklahoma will be required to have a Bible in their classroom this fall. But leadership in many of Oklahoma’s top school districts say they’re not going to force teachers to teach Christianity.
