We understand that this is a time of tremendous fear and uncertainty for many people. We hope that all of you are well, and that you are finding comfort in your communities.
In recent days, we have witnessed an incredible surge in individuals being called to ordination with the Universal Life Church (ULC). Many of these newly-ordained ministers have shared with us that one of their primary goals is to unite loving same-sex couples in marriage, in hopes that these marriages can be solemnized ahead of any potential future bans on same-sex unions.
While we cannot predict the future, we are inspired and uplifted by the courage and commitment we see in these brave individuals. Their dedication to inclusivity and equality reaffirms the core values of the ULC, and we are heartened to see their commitment to celebrating love in all of its forms.
To all who feel called to stand in solidarity and to actively support marriage equality by performing ceremonies for like-minded individuals, please know that the ULC stands beside you. We remain committed to the fight, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that every individual has the freedom to marry the person that they love.
If you aren’t ordained already, and feel called to join us in this mission, we welcome you to apply for ordination.
We’ll leave you with a favorite quote from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "If you can't fly, then run, if you can't run, then walk, if you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward".
Let’s keep moving forward, together.

Sunday after sermon meeting, I tried question of Trumps limits to power. With historical reference to Jimmy Carter executive order 12065 national security information and revision of executive order 12065. Ronald Reagan got credit for declassification of documents. Documents no one will look at, words no one wants to hear, and I regret saying them. It is painfully for me to say them. But I am sure you are not reading this or will hear what I say.

As an ordained minister of Jewish and Wiccan background. I am proud to be associated with the ULC and I have performed my first marriage a couple months ago. When I did it, I talked to the couple and performed the service with Christian references and christian style to fit their faith. I have nothing against christianity and support people being christian.
I would equally marry same sex couple and all other faiths. The only thing I look for is a faith and love.
Then again, my belief is that there is one god that loves everyone but different faiths just look at him from different angles and views and even multiple names for different aspects but still part of the same divinity and ULC supports me helping others within this view.
I volunteer to help anyone that needs a minister for their marriage in northeastern illinois/south eastern wisconsin and I support ULC.

Martin Luther vilified the Church To seek needed reform of the Church. Many of Martin Luther's supporters wanted to burn down The Church and did. Martin Luther just sought to reform Church and was appalled by Churches being burned down. When Martin Luther came to have support by authority Martin Luther had his supporters slaughtered. An incredibly bloody chapter in Church history. I say this wondering what effect President Donald Trump will have. I will try to live with it. As a child chased by mobs. Raised a family for twenty years in a war zone. Thirteen years in isolation. Now I am 65 on social security. Sunday I will go to Church. Last Sunday was meeting, did not follow agenda it was just to have people at meeting say they want to kill Trump. And I said at meeting "You are just having a meeting to get people in meeting to say they want to kill Trump" and the recording secretary of meeting kept at it. I may go to another Church soon. I hope I do not find angry mob.

Nothing would please me more than Trump to end up as president in jail or dying of natural causes. That said, I am against killing him. he should be removed through legal means.
Killing trump though won't help. his vice present and other successors are just as bad, just not in limelight. He is a very vocal and charismatic (to his followers) figure head to a whole movement of hate that needs to be fought. not just him. He is just a dangerous symptom.
I agree we need to work to prevent the mobs on either side and the civil war that is brewing.

"Structural demographic theory" small action does not matter it is the mass movement. Water , Water safety. The ability to treat antimicrobial resistant disease. Food safety that has something to do with food safety. And shelter. Or "We will all be better off when we are dead" "I say God said so" I got thank you from "Catholic rural life" for gift of water filters, but they did not pick up on nitrate problem. I alone fully funded pathogen predator program. Effective alternatives to antibiotic treatment for diseases caused by mulit-drug resistant bacteria. It was discontinued but I got my money back.

Lutheranism is a major branch of Protestantism that identifies primarily with the theology of Martin Luther, Without Luther's backing for the uprising, many rebels laid down their weapons; others felt betrayed.
Therefore let everyone who can, smite, slay, and stab, secretly or openly, remembering that nothing can be more poisonous, hurtful, or devilish than a rebel ... For baptism does not make men free in body and property, but in soul; and the gospel does not make goods common, except in the case of those who, of their own free will, do what the apostles and disciples did in Acts 4 [:32–37]. They did not demand, as do our insane peasants in their raging, that the goods of others—of Pilate and Herod—should be common, but only their own goods. Our peasants, however, want to make the goods of other men common, and keep their own for themselves. Fine Christians they are! I think there is not a devil left in hell; they have all gone into the peasants. Their raving has gone beyond all measure.[105]
In 1526 Luther wrote: "I, Martin Luther, have during the rebellion slain all the peasants, for it was I who ordered them to be struck dead."[110]
his anti-Jewish rhetoric contributed significantly to the development of antisemitism in Germany,[262] and in the 1930s and 1940s provided an "ideal underpinning" for the Nazis' attacks on Jews.[18] Reinhold Lewin writes that anybody who "wrote against the Jews for whatever reason believed he had the right to justify himself by triumphantly referring to Luther."

Unless I am wrong didn't Jesus say Love one another as I have loved you? We are all God's children what is the problem? I think part of the reason so many. churches are failing or loosing members is we have to many man rules and forget GOD'S rules. Rev C Potter Chaplain

How do you know what Jesus ever really said, so yes, you could be wrong.
And if you are going to claim there really is a God that has rules you’d better be able to demonstrably prove your claim, otherwise your comment doesn’t really make any sense, Sir Charles. 🤗

I am looking to Third Century Christianity In the fourth century times and sensitivities had undergone a profound change and imperial legislation - it is hard to know whether or not this was due to Christian influence - began to intervene heavily in the area of homosexuality. The Theodosian Code. The new compilation condemned to burning all passive homosexuals without distinction. With the Emperor Justinian the legislation was broadened; every kind of homosexuality was repeatedly condemned with the death penalty. Theodosius gave as his reason the desire to rid Rome, "the mother of all virtues", from all contamination. Justinian also added religious reasons. The Theodosian laws, followed by those of Justinian in the Corpus Iuris, represent the heritage which late Roman law was to leave to posterity.

This witch stands with those who would be oppressed and persecuted by the Cultists of Trumpthulhu. I call on my fellow clergy, who serve the god of Abraham, to steer your flocks to the path of love and away from the path of hate.

Same-sex marriage embodies the purest form of love and partnership, where two individuals come together to share their lives, support each other, and grow together, irrespective of gender. It's a celebration of love that recognizes the importance of the unique bond between two people who truly understand and complement each other in every way."
It's all about highlighting the universal themes of love, commitment, and mutual support that are central to any marriage.

I believe in "Live and let live," so it is not really an issue. Everyone has the right to live as they choose. I believe in the Golden Rule, including my feelings toward everyone.

I’m a minister and a member of the LGBTQIA + community. I don’t know how long same-sex marriage will be legal…
-
As long as there are living humans that love one another.

For years as a Minister with ULC: I've grown closer to God and his word; I truly believe when 2 people are on love: they have the right to live their lives together. The Minister's with ULC are bold in their Beliefs in God and Church.

I like to think we have better educated ourselves and based on what we have learned with open hearts and open minds, have chosen to follow a path of love and peace.

Marrying the person you love of the same sex. I guess that would depend on the purpose if it's a state recognized marriage and this is done for tax purposes that is one thing. But how could you consider holy matrimony brought before the world in the presence of God and looking for his approval knowing that he has clearly stated that it was an abomination in his eyes. And that's where I leave it you can do whatever you want with it let's see where it goes but it is what it is and you can't change it you can even rewrite the scripture if you want which you've been working on that I see. But the old scripture still exists. Are we supposed to just cast that away? We supposed to just disregard what he said? Or did he never say that and it was all just made up lies? kind of like what we're witnessing today? They just changed the wording to fit their narratives because the wording was all designed to maintain conformity and to give the people that have nothing to believe in something to follow. It's kind of like a societal structure that keeps everybody looking for hope and working real hard believing that somehow they will achieve Freedom through their hard work. When it was and is the fruits of their labor that keeps them in prison in the system there belongings in prison you in the monetary slave system.
