pope francis climate change
Pope Francis says we are at the precipice of a breaking point with regards to climate change.

In a recent 7,000 word encyclical entitled Laudate Deum, Pope Francis laid bare his belief that the citizens of the world have not been good stewards of planet earth, sharply pointing his finger at one group in particular: westerners, and their “irresponsible lifestyle.”

Is Pope Francis right? Are we to blame for climate change?

Nearing the Breaking Point

The Pope's message came with an urgent warning: the planet is approaching catastrophe.

“With the passage of time, I have realized that our responses have not been adequate, while the world in which we live is collapsing and may be nearing the breaking point,” Pope Francis wrote, lamenting the lack of progress made since his last major statement on climate change in 2015.

“Some effects of the climate crisis are already irreversible, at least for several hundred years, such as the increase in the global temperature of the oceans, their acidification and the decrease of oxygen,” the pontiff wrote.

“Despite all attempts to deny, conceal, gloss over or relativize the issue, the signs of climate change are here and increasingly evident. No one can ignore the fact that in recent years we have witnessed extreme weather phenomena, frequent periods of unusual heat, drought and other cries of protest.”

Who Is to Blame?

Pope Francis leveled criticism at several groups, primarily wealthy western “elites” and corporations that he says produce emissions at a wildly unsustainable rate.

“Emissions per individual in the United States are about two times greater than those of individuals living in China, and about seven times greater than the average of the poorest countries,” he argued. A “broad change in the irresponsible lifestyle connected with the Western model would have a significant long-term impact.”

He also chastised corporations which endlessly pursue profits at the expense of the planet, lobbying for the reduction of environmental regulations so they can pollute air, land, and water unfettered. Corporations who pursue the “greatest profit possible at minimal cost and in the shortest amount of time” bear a significant portion of the blame, he argued.

Francis even had a rare criticism for the Catholic Church, lamenting “certain dismissive and scarcely reasonable opinions” found at home, “even within the Catholic Church.”

Those Most Impacted

Pope Francis posed the issue of manmade climate change as a social issue, one that impacts the “most vulnerable people, whether at home or around the world."

This group, he points out, is least responsible for contributing to the problem.

“How can we forget that Africa, home to more than half of the world’s poorest people, is responsible for a minimal portion of historic emissions?” he pondered.

But what to do?

In the address, the pontiff called climate change “one of the principal challenges facing society and the global community,” arguing that “the necessary transition towards clean energy sources such as wind and solar energy, and the abandonment of fossil fuels, is not progressing at the necessary speed."

It’s an issue of responsibility, if not for us, he argued, then for our legacy.

The Pope playing Politics once again. The more you pay attention to this Pope you would think that he has to be a part of the world system. Its like he doesn't understand that you can't honor the Devil and God at the same time. I think he has forgot what Jesus did in the wilderness when the Devil showed up. Jesus as man knew not to get into a conversation with the enemy so He told the Devil that it is written "you shall not temp the Lord it is written" Why we as people are smarter than Jesus its beyond me.

This from a guy who lives in a palace with a ton of servants and henchmen with more gold decorations than trump. He would feel better if we were on collective farms and did not eat so much, or enjoy living the life that Christ allowed us to earn through our work and our democratic government. That way our "'footprint" would be much smaller and he would give up what? I heard once about some "vows of poverty". I did not take one. I'm guessing that he did not either.

Clearly you must live on a different planet. Anyone who has any little knowledge of how Pope Francis lives would laugh at our remarks about his vow of poverty or him living in a big palace.

I suggest you do research and a reality check on where Pope Francis lives and how he lives: the room where he sleeps, the car he uses, the shoes he wears, etc...

Norwegian Agency: Man-Made CO2 “Not Sufficiently Strong” to Cause “Systematic Changes” in Weather

Researchers John K. Dagsvik and Sigmund H. Moen published the paper this month, and their abstract makes clear that, in their opinion, the supposedly vast amount of CO2 that mankind has pumped into the atmosphere during the industrial age is insignificant when it comes to affecting the world’s temperature.

“Weather and temperatures vary in ways that are difficult to explain and predict precisely. In this article we review data on temperature variations in the past as well possible reasons for these variations,” the study’s abstract begins. “Subsequently, we review key properties of global climate models and statistical analyses conducted by others on the ability of the global climate models to track historical temperatures. These tests show that standard climate models are rejected by time series data on global temperatures. Finally, we update and extend previous statistical analysis of temperature data (Dagsvik et al., 2020). Using theoretical arguments and statistical tests we find, as in Dagsvik et al. (2020), that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be strong enough to cause systematic changes in the temperature fluctuations during the last 200 years.”

The authors point out what many have been saying for years. Any observed warming may simply be natural, a rebound from a period known as the Little Ice Age. The researchers acknowledge that long-term temperature readings consistently show an upward trend, but they question whether that trend directly corresponds to mankind’s CO2 emissions.

Warming periods of the past — the Medieval Warm Period, for example — are often ignored by those who have a vested interest in anthropogenic climate change being true. But the study’s authors argue that such history is completely germane to the global-warming debate.

Citing recent historic temperature reconstructions from Greenland, the authors report that “a new method that utilizes argon and nitrogen isotopic ratios from occluded air bubbles … indicate that warmer temperatures were the norm in the earlier part of the past 4,000 years, including century-long intervals nearly 1°C warmer than the decade (2001-2010).”

The study also points out that the recent warming trend appears to predate man’s ability to be responsible for it.

“Temperature reconstructions indicate that there is a ‘warming’ trend that seems to have been going on for as long as approximately 400 years. Prior to the last 250 years or so, such a trend could only be due to natural causes,” the official Norwegian government report states.

And even if the current upward trend in temperatures is different from historical trends, it’s not necessarily the fault of mankind’s emissions.

“Even if the temperatures in recent years should turn out to deviate systematically from the variations in earlier times, it is still a complicated challenge to quantify how much of this the change due to emissions of CO2,” the study says.

The paper acknowledges the so-called consensus among the scientific community on climate change.

“At present, there is apparently a high degree of consensus among many climate researchers that the temperature increase of the last decades is systematic (and partly man-made). This is certainly the impression conveyed by the mass media.”

But it also points out that climate scientists are not always forthcoming with their data. In truth, they appear to actively hide data at times.

“For non-experts, it is very difficult to obtain a comprehensive picture of the research in this field, and it is almost impossible to obtain an overview and understanding of the scientific basis for such a consensus,” the study states.

Ultimately, Dagsvik and Moen conclude that a natural cause of global warming — as opposed to a man-made cause — is likely, and that CO2 emissions are statistically insignificant when it comes to causing serious warming.

“We find … that the hypothesis that the temperature process varies randomly around a constant level (stationarity) is not rejected. This may indicate that the effect of CO2 emissions in the last 200 years is not strong enough to cause systematic changes in the temperature fluctuations.”

One can hear the objections from the climate cult already. “Dagsvik and Moen are not climate scientists,” they’ll say. “Therefore their research cannot be taken seriously.”

No, these researchers are not climate scientists, but they are statisticians. And, typically, statistics are incapable of lying. Many climate scientists, on the other hand, are perfectly comfortable with lies and half-truths.

Let's get real, people. Our earth goes through normal cycles of tropical temperatures and ice ages. This has gone on for eons. The reality of it is that all that we have done on our planet has not 'polluted our atmosphere' anywhere near what is being said. Our entire world population would fit well within the boundaries of our country with a good deal of room to spare! We are not nearly as 'bad off' as the news media would want us to believe. Okay, chickies enjoy your life without fear.

Interesting you made that remark. I remember when the earth was 6 billion in population, and they were screaming overpopulation. I read an article from a charity at the time, and they laughed at that statement. They said if you made a circle on the earth with a radius of 26 miles, that all the people on the planet could easily fit into it. So, I got my math book for the area of a circle and calculated people to be 6 foot tall and 3 feet wide and lo and behold all could fit, laying down next to each other. As far as feeding them, farmers are paid not to plant, other farmers are paid to dump the crops, all to keep prices high. The amount of food us Americans throw away every year could feed the world and if the meat eaters in America along would quit eating meat, the food that could be planted on the same land could feed the entire population of hungry people. I too bought into that lie years ago and the first time I flew and saw all the empty land realized I had been propaganda to death, if I remember correctly something like 80% of the population of the world live in like only 12 cities.

After we’re extinct, there will still be cockroaches, cyanobacteria, tardigrades and, unless we “harvest” them to extinction for their blood, horseshoe crabs.

I find the big commotion of climate change somewhat amusing. Yes, the climate is changing. Study the climate change history and you will see that every 50-100 years it changes. I find it more amusing that the Pope is saying it’s due to the Western country’s way of life…the United States. He needs to go more west until it becomes east. China produces more pollution that the U.S. does. And here is my main point on Climate change. The scientists who are paid by government grants point to car emissions and cows as the problem. There are more than 500 active volcanoes in the world. Take the least of these and each day the amount of ash, heat, and poisonous gases that are released into the air, I would say that has a lot to do with air quality and ozone. Sure, the countries of the world need to quit dumping plastics and their factory wastes in the ocean so that we can protect the Earth as much as possible and enjoy its true beauty. But overall, the air pollution doesn’t come close to the air pollution of a volcano.

The world has always had climate changing patterns. However the climate has not changed this rapidly without some outside influence. We can all blame everyone else or simply choose to ignore it but it does not change the fact that we are in the age of the Anthropocene.

China and India are indeed super emitting. What we need to realize is that they build most of the components or devices we use in our western homes. If we consumed less, they would emit less by not supplying our throwaway cultures needs. Unfortunately we simply can’t recycle our way out of this predicament.

This is way to difficult a topic to simply address it in a couple of paragraphs. However I do appreciate the fact that the Pope is trying to address the issue and stand up for future generations.

I don't believe in climate change that the media teaches, but I do believe that is changing. The weather is nothing like it was when I was a child. None of the sayings from the Farmer's Almanac are applicable anymore. i.e., Red Sky at night...... March comes in ...... April showers ....... Then add to it events like the Sunami that Sir Lanka a while back that shifted the earth 1. + degrees on its axis, then the one that hit Japan and shifted it another 3. + degrees on its axis. Now you have the sun warming the Northern Hemisphere more than the Southern Hemisphere, causing the air temperatures and oceans temperatures to change, causing the air and water currents to change as well. Then you have the ash circulating the globe and changing the temps from a single volcanic eruption. Only problem is the last time I looked a volcano usually spews ash into the air more than once and there were at least 10 volcanoes erupting in the world. Then the moon is moving farther away from the earth every year changing the tides which change the weather. So, i see that man has very little control over any of those. Now the devil that knows his time is short and Jesus said that these events would continue as a woman in labor. They will increase in frequency and intensity before His return. As far as those lithium batteries are concerned, my only comment on them is not to park in an older parking garage because the reports I read on three of those garages that collapsed were due to the weight of the electric cars that did not exist when they designed them.

Sanderson. I do not support the mining of lithium for many reasons. It's far more destructive to the environment then FOSSIL FUELS. It enslaves those who mine it. Mostly women and children. It's causing horrible problems health wise for those who do mine it. The world cannot operate without fossil fuels. And we aren't really doing anything to prepare for electric cars to be recharged. It's all a complete joke. And try driving an electric car through the desert on a very hot day. You better have a good cooling system to.keep those lithium batteries cool or you'll have a fire on your hands. I believe that all sources of energy were put here for a reason. The world can feed itself without the use of chemicals and all the darn genetic manipulation we do to our food sources. The grains we grow today are so genetically enhanced to withstand a certain amount of drought, to make it less susceptible to insects and blight, even cold. A loaf of bread baked from non genetic enhanced grain has a completely different taste. All of our genetic enhanced food is cancer causing. I don't think we were meant to play with nature the way we do. I remember as a kid you could walk through the corn rows. You can't do that as easily today. We plant closer rows. Same with soy beans.
We have found so.maby ways to create engines that run off of food waste like used fryer oil, water combustible engines which were never built because the automobile industry didn't want to convert to some other form of energy. I remember years ago people had invented cars using the type if batteries we use to start our cars with generators. In my opinion that would be far more cheaper then lithium batteries. At least the car would charge up its own energy source. Lithium batteries will lose energy just sitting idle. Acid batteries charge up when running .

Once it burns there's nothing for it. It will burn completely. I dove by the fire on my way to teach. Just wow. I get the chance to play with the stuff now and again. Super fun!

I think it's dumb to use oil the way we do. We're literally sipping from a cup of oil with our fertilizers. We use it to create the microplastics found in everything and everywhere. We pump 2-butoxyethanol into the earth to fracture the surface for oil. All of these things we do concerning oil are so very foolish and unhealthy. So unwise.

I have nothing to support this but I feel that oil has a function for the planet. It's just a thought I had once and can't seem to shake. I suppose since I believe the earth was created to sustain humans everything in it has a purpose.

We definitely need to get away from oil as quickly as we can but not at the cost of people and their lively hood. Where there are mega dollars at stake it's pretty damned hard to make any real progress. Lithium is the new oil, that's not the answer. God willing someone will crack the code and find free energy before they can be stopped. I bet it's right in front of our faces. Too smart to see it though.

As, according to the Roman Catholic Church, the Christian God’s representative on the planet Earth, is the Roman Catholic pope; and on the other countless planets, in the cosmos, we’ve yet to learn “whose God they have” “which church has a leader, whose such, and such leader it has, or if this leader is the leader of only Roman Catholic Christians, but other Christians, Roman, Greek, Russian, or whatever. If anyone claims, that their God, is represented on this Earth they’re to blame, for not telling their God, what’s happening here on Earth.

    1. Keith Allen Steele Eash's Avatar Keith Allen Steele Eash

That is the most anti catholic statement ever made. The Catholic Church has always opposed those with money. The sad thing is the pope is deceived. He speaks truth and untruth. The Western economies are responsible for the plastic pollution in the ocean. I also blame China. She used to take our plastic refuse. I wouldn't put it past them to also dump some of that plastic in the ocean themselves. But. Why can't we go back to glass which is the easiest thing to use over and over. You can't really recycle plastic. And now the elites claim there is a water shortage. BS. Just another deception to mislead the common people.
They want us to drink plant based milk but I noticed the Plant based milk is far more higher in calories then then real cow milk at 2%, 1%, or skim milk. The pope is listening to scientists on the world elites payroll. Oxygen is at a depletion because of the loss of trees. And strange the forest fires this summer were started by arsonists in most circumstances. Nothing to do with climate change. And Gates believing cutting trees down will cut back on temperature rising. Trees are necessary for photosynthesis which helps to create oxygen. Pseudo science. But, I've known all along this pope has been siding with the elites on fake climate change. I have as yet not heard anything critiquing the Chinese who actually produce more carbon then Americans do.

The Pope is correct about Climate Change. The part I don't agree with is shifting most of the blame to the so-called Western nations. China is one of the worst polluters and breaking it down per person does not tell the story as they have such a high population, most of whom are poor by political design.

We are all responsible for the pollution of this planet. Add to that the natural processes and we have a major problem. It may be too late to reverse what we have done, but we can stop it from getting worse. And we can learn to adapt to the changes.

    1. Keith Allen Steele Eash's Avatar Keith Allen Steele Eash

Or what was responsible for the 240 year drought in California that started around the year 850 or the one that lasted 150 years starting around the year 1140.

In each of those cases it must have been the campfires from the few hundred stone age people scattered around those regions that's so polluted the atmosphere that it caused those extreme events.

And I'll let us move on to the pollution caused by the car batteries when they no longer have a useful life and have to be discarded somewhere or the wind turbines that lay in Mass graveyards all over the place when those structures and their useful lifespan. And no, by-n--large they are not being recycled.

Hmm, let's use this example of How/ What man causes that augment the natural world ( we'll use $$$ as example):

I.e. : let's use $1,000 weekly income. * Needs caused by "natural means" are food, water, roof over head, sufficent heat, maybe cooling, electricity for power, clothing, and all that adds up to $999 weekly.

In that case that family, company, government is/ stays "cash positive" and actually gains wealth weekly ( only $1 but still positive and forever OK ...

But MAN DOES NOT DO THAT: HE ALWAYS MUST "GO OVER THE TOP", hence over the $1,000 weekly income... === this equals Bankrupcy, maybe not today but eventually at best. ( instead of the positive compounding effect, it negatively "digs a hole like a grave"!

---- using same analogy, nature dies change the climate certainly over time ( and many creatures, including man likely can adapt/ evolve with it given the gradual time needed... BUT THE IDIOCRICY OF MAN not only creates a huge negative, adding to negative events, but it FAST TRACKS IT TO RUINATION, not just of man, but other creatures, plants, the air, land & seas!!!

As our decades long studies have shown MAN'S I.Q. HAVE DROPPED CONSISTENTLY ( even though with today's actually marvelous technologies, man's I Q. Should am Soar!!!!

--- It is a BRAIN THING where adults take the near perfect brains of children starting at birth and rather than create upward soaring of intelligence truly DUMB DOWN ALL by creating literal simulataneous brain function of frontal lobe ( intelligent part) whereby amygdala ( pea sized, total REACTIONARY TO STIMULI & REACTIVE EMOTIONS CONDITIONED IN) that SHUTS DOWN FRONTAL LOBE "whenever it is personal" or anything conditioned/ programmed in CAUSING ZERO INTELLIGENCE BUT INSTANT AUTO REACTION IN EVERY ADULT!

THIS IS WHY MANKIND ANAYA HAS REGRESSED & ALWAYS WILL ...

----- THE FIX IS ACTUALLY SIMPLE ( WE UNCOVERED IT AFTER DECADES OF TESTS, STUDIES & TRIALS THAT ACTUALLY BRING THE BRAIN FULL FU CTIONALITY BACK AS E ARE ALL BORN WITH! It is a simple rewiring of the brain where synapses between neurons in both brain segments mentioned again occur naturally.==== THIS IS MAN'S ONLY HOPE TO SURVIVE === BUT IN REALITY IT CREATES MAN TO THRIVE!!!

Heck, by now, IF NOT FOR THIS CONDITIONED IN FLAW, Man Would Be/ Should Be SOARING A.ONG THE STARS instead of stuck in the same ( worse actually) situations that have been here for 1000s of years!!!

Hottest Summer in a Billion Years! By which we mean, ninety. René Marrou Aug 21, 2023 The Daily Oklahoman, August 13, 1936

This has been the hottest summer ever. The National Weather Service assured us it was the hottest July on record, that we’ve had five of the hottest years ever in the past ten or so, and the past month was the hottest July in 120,000 years! Why, that was so long ago, our ancestors had to hack thermometers out of granite while beating back saber-toothed tigers. The hottest year in a hundred and twenty thousand!

        You know, except for 1936.

Thanks for reading MARROU ON MEDIA ! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.

Oh, nobody mentions 1936 these days because, well, it makes all that climate change talk look bad. Not many SUVs on the roads back in 1936. In fact, there were only 24 million vehicles on the highways of the United States in 1936, compared to almost 300 million today.

But that summer—that was one hot S.O.B. of a summer, my friend. Air conditioning existed only in movie theaters and a few bars back then. Nobody worth less than a million bucks had A/C in their homes, and that was when a million was serious money. In those days, everyone went to church on Sunday and the only climate control was the paper giveaway fans funeral homes provided to the attendees. A preacher looking out on the congregation that summer might have thought he was sermonizing to several hundred geisha.

Most climate change statistics you see begin in 1970 or so, back to 1950. That’s because that was a notoriously cool period in our history, so the temperatures since then seem warmer. But 1936—well, let’s take a look.

This has been a hot summer all over the country, no argument there. It’s been especially hot in the interior of the country, where cooling breezes off the ocean don’t reach and where cold fronts go to die. On July 3 of this year it hit 89 in Kansas City, Missouri and that high was repeated on July 13. On the twenty-third of the month, the mercury touched 91. (That’s just a phrase-they don’t use mercury thermometers for official temps anymore.)

It’s been hot—but let’s go back to 1936, with temperatures provided by the Kansas City Times newspaper. On that July 3 it was 103 degrees; on July 23, 102, and on July 13 it hit 105 degrees for three straight hours, so hot that the wife of a pitcher for the Saint Louis Blues baseball team collapsed on a downtown street of heat stroke and was hospitalized.

The real corker came in August of 1936. On the twelfth, the high temperature was 109 degrees, nearly twenty degrees hotter than the 90 recorded August 12 of this year.

Kansas City wasn’t all that unusual. I chose it basically at random, and then decided to test Oklahoma City as well. Here’s how it looked in July:

        July 3, 1936: 98; July 3, 2023: 95

        July 13, 1936; 101; July 13, 2023: 96

        July 23, 1936: 103; July 23, 2023: 92

Of course, let’s not forget August 12:

        1936: 110 degrees

        2023: 92 degrees

And that wasn’t the record. On Monday the tenth it had hit 112 degrees at 3 p.m., and on the eleventh the high was 113! That makes the mere 104 in OKC on August 20 of this year seem relatively benign.

On August thirteenth, the Daily Oklahoman referred to 1936 as one of the hottest, driest summers on record—but all seems forgotten today, especially if we just went through the hottest July in 120,000 years, a claim so preposterous that any actual journalist should have refused to repeat it. That outrageous lie was made by the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service, by people whose jobs and funding depend on convincing us all that global warming to about to set fire to every twig and blade of grass the sun touches. In reality, NOBODY has any idea how hot it was more than 120 years ago, much less 120,000.

It’s been a hot summer, but it can’t compare to 1936, when people couldn’t escape the heat by getting into their car, going into an office building or going home. It was a year when 30% of our gross national product was sweat, and even worse, most men were supposed to wear ties and most women, stockings. The fact that it’s being forgotten today shows that the people trying to sell us on unprecedented warming due to our SUVs have to lie to get us to be concerned about it.

And they will keep lying. You can bet on that.

          Jimmy moon,

You've clearly had too much to think when you wrote that. You're taking a chance though, the climbing change priests will not remember your statistics. They don't like to hear their God is wrong. Who does? The hate that Neptune is heating up from the sun but we aren't.

Bill Gates pays for his pollution. He still pollutes 100k+ times more than the average person but he pays his carbon offsets. Still pollutes though. That very fact should open the eyes to the ignorant but it won't. It should let people know it's just money and control packaged in a new box. They will let Bill Gates stifle their freedoms while his are expanded. They are very good pawns.

Enjoy your cricket guts bread guys. It's good to eat and makes the planet happy. Gates on the other hand will enjoy his filet mignon, rare.

The parrots will repeat the statements made by their trainers. That's good for the planet too.

So yeah - I completely agree with your last sentence - and I know where the propaganda is at, and where it comes from.

To those Climate Change deniers, think of it like this. It’s true, the earth has gone and continues to go through myriad glacial and interglacial periods (ex. Pleistocene, Neogene, Miocene, Gelasian…) over the billions of years it has been revolving around our sun, in our solar system and in our little galaxy, which expands outwards in the unfathomable expanse of our universe. The ebb and flow of the polar caps is a natural event. So you can have that one!

However, fossil fuels burned by humans for transportation, electricity and just about everything that is manufactured for human consumption, yes, including food, creates carbon dioxide amongst numerous other carcinogens (ex. carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, mercury…). Carbon emissions trap heat in the atmosphere and are accelerating, thus altering, the natural glacial periods that we know.

Believe it or not, scientists have been aware of the effects on the environment of human generated “greenhouse” gases, since the late 19th century! It wasn’t until the late 20th century, when multi-scientific disciplines began to accept this fact and participate in the study, that “Climate Change” became widely known. Thanks Al Gore!

In any event, “Climate Change” is for real, with 97% of Climate Scientists, et al, agreeing that humans are accelerating/alternating the otherwise natural glacial periods of the earth by burning fossil fuels and emitting other dangerous and destructive chemicals (ex. CFC’s) into the earth’s atmosphere.

Those who side with the other 3% of scientists and the “naysayers”, well…I hope you don’t have children or grandchildren, because they are going to live in a very different world than we did. And if you don’t have kids and don’t care about contributing to the solution (actually, in some cases, we are beyond the “point of no return”), then you are…well you know what you are.

Climbing Change, it's what's for breakfast. Carbon dioxide being the bad guy here, we cause it. With an atmospheric composition of a whopping 0.04 percent, I'd say that's a mighty magnificent rudder.

I read in the 80s a single volcano puts out more socalled greenhouse gasses in a day than city folk do in a year. Fear not kids, the scientific community might have gotten it wrong then but THIS time they got it right, swear to God. Really, they did.

Anybody who thinks a vitally needed gas that's 0.04% of the atmosphere is not the cause of climbing change is a science denier. Let us crucify them with charts, silence them with grafts and belittle them with propaganda.

In other news, Neptune is losing its clouds. It receives a whopping 0.1% of the solar energy earth does. The egghead's say it's clouds are disappearing due to solar activity. I'm glad earth isn't affected by the sun like Neptune is. For some reason the sun is able to heat up Neptune without heating up earth.

Oh well, I'm not a scientist and have had way way too much to think already.

Climbing Change, it's cool till it's hot.

I've seen that graph already along with a bunch of other ones. The resolution always makes me laugh. Really it does. They sure make it look big and scary don't they?

Why do intelligent people ignore the other planets are heating up? Why is that only earth is unaffected by the giant ball of thermonuclear fire in the sky? How is Neptune affected but earth isn't, I can't find a graph for that.

Not only is the earth affected by direct solar radiation including the forms of energy we can't detect yet, it's also affected by its electrical energy in the form of a magnetic field. When a conductor(earth) cuts through a magnet field it creates current, current causes heat.

Scientists paycheck depends on grants to study climbing change. Ya think they wanna go without a paycheck? No sir.

I want to make this clear, were horrible stewards of this planet. No doubt. Let's clean up the islands of plastic and filth before we cut off our food supply and eat crickets or each other.

That's why people are doomed Kenneth. You've got two people on opposite sides right here and we can't even agree on what we both agree on. I just took a decent stance against oil as fuel and its mega corp profit centers, it's never good enough, it never will be. What a sad thing. If there is no God we will never survive ourselves. I hope there is.
